A story without a protagonist isn’t any kind of adventure. The character of Moses, Paul, the Mule is the backward thrust that forces someone to jump out of their inaction and go balls out with no regard for his own balls. Makes a man of a man. Or a woman of a woman. Makes us fit for the next problem.

Dying planet. For example.

vs. 2: The next time I come nobody will escape punishment. EQ.

Terrorism. Religion is terrorism.

“Religion is anything you want it to be.”

“I want it to be put in the libraries with all the other myths and religions of our ignorant myopic past. Our past of paranoia that the elements are out to get us. We are the elements. And if we wish to go on surviving in such a universe as we are in we must know. Knowledge and understanding. Wisdom and love for life. Paradise is not what we are waiting for. We are in it and it is patiently, not personally patient but with no great time pressure, for us to awaken to it. We can be and create what we want when we allow that we are the gods.”

“And that we are not the rulers over the rest of life. We are each a god of his or her perspective of the universe.”

vs. 5: ... Surely you know that Christ Jesus is in you? - unless you have completely failed. EQ.

Yes, Paul. You have made that clear. And it is worth a few points. Perhaps we can even admit that for that your bloody religion has severed its purpose.

vs. 7: but so that you may do what is right, even though we may seem to be failures. EQ.

vs. 11: agree with one another; live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. EQ.
