chapter 43

The famine went on and they were again without food. The brothers said they wouldn't go without Benjy. And Israel said, suddenly Jacob is Israel again, "Why'd you have to tell that bastard you have another brother," he asked.

Judah said, "Come on, let me have the kid so we can live and not die. No more pissing around."

Israel told them to take some presents as well, gum and pistachios and whatnot. The money from last time and new money and may El Shadlai show mercy. Oh me oh my.

So off they went, Benjy and his brothers.

Joseph, seeing Benjy, ordered up a feast. The brothers thought they were going to be in trouble when they were brought to Joseph's house. They told the Stewart about the money and the Stewart told them not to sweat it, he wasn't missing any money.

They washed their feet and waited for Joseph. When Joseph came in, they presented him with the presents. And bowed on the ground.

"How's your dad."

"Fine."

Joseph saw Benjy and ran out for a cry, washed his face and came back and ordered up lunch. The Hebrews had to eat at a different table on account they weren't considered worthy. Low life. Scum. But they got loads to eat. Benjamin getting the most.

chapter 44

Their bags were filled with rations and again their money returned. Benjamin's bag also received Joseph's silver goblet.

It was a trick. Joseph later accused him of stealing it.

They, the brother's, already on their journey, didn't believe it. They said if a goblet was found, they could gladly kill the thief. They offered to be slaves if the goblet was found.

"We'll just take the goblet thief as a slave."

So the bags were checked, the goblet found, they all rent their clothes, packed the animals again and returned to the city.

When Judah and his brothers went back to find Joseph still hanging around, they threw themselves on the ground before him. "What horrible thing did you buggers do. Do you know who you're messing with."

"We were framed, really. But take us all as slaves."

"Nah, just the one goblet thief can stay. The rest piss off."

Judah flipped."No way man."

"Have you a father of brother."

"We told you, one old dad and another half brother that's dead. He was dad's favorite. Now he lives only for the boy you wish to keep."

"Our dad would die if we don't send him back. He wouldn't have let him come with us if you hadn't made us. If we weren't starving, we wouldn't he here. Dad said, 'My wife had two kids, one shredded by beasts and now you want to take this one.' And we said, 'Well what the hell we supposed to do if the big guy wants to see him.' And he said, 'don't come back without him or my white head will pop down to Shoel to wail.' So I beg you to let my brother go and keep me. I can't face my father without the boy."

chapter 45

Joseph couldn't take it anymore. "Get out," he ordered his servants before bursting into tears. The sobs filled the palace. Even the Pharaoh got wind of the wailing.

"I'm Joseph, how's dad."

They were stunned.

"Come to me. I am the brother you sold into Egypt. Don't sweat it though. It was God's will. I was the one chosen to save us from famine. I was sent ahead to ensure your survival here on Earth. God did it. He made me a father to Pharaoh, lord over his house and all of Egypt. Pretty cool, don't you think.

Now run back, get Dad and we'll set you up here in Goshen. Bring the kids and the animals. I'll get you through the next 5 years of famine in fine style. So get on it."

Joseph and Benjy had a little cry together. He kissed and wept on his other brothers as well.

Someone told the Pharaoh. "Hey, Joseph's brothers are here."

"That's exciting."

He said to Joseph, "Let's set 'em up good. Take wagons up to bring the whole family. Leave the shit there, we give 'em all new better shit."

So it was. They got clothes and cash. Benjamin got ten times as much as anyone else. And food and presents were packed for the asses and whatnot.

"And no fighting on the way."

So they went. "Hey, Dad, Joseph is alive and rules over Egypt."

Israel didn't believe it. But they made him believe it and he wanted to go. "Let me see him before I die."
