John reminds the recipients of his letter to love one another.
vs. 7: Many deceivers have gone out all over the world, people who do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ came as a human being. Such a person is a deceiver and the Enemy of Christ. EQ.
Such a person is a preacher or priest or whatever title they carry.
We have had this a few times. A gentle reminder that Jesus Christ was just another man, or woman, who took his or her line of work seriously. Like anyone. Not a special event. Not a science fiction fantasy super hero. A man who loved life. A man that knew what he was and what mattered. A man awake ahead of his time. A man that had a message. A message that his instinct and the instinct of others showed him. His curiosity. His understanding. His learning. All human traits.
And Jesus Christ has not come again to hang on a cross. He has come to take them down.
And open up the gates of heaven.
The third letter from JOHN
letter 03
Diotrephes doesn’t hold to the advise of John and his friends. Like the pope will deny the existence of Jesus Christ. Or give his support to the charlatan with the power of convincing speech. The book is not prophecy, it is a plan. A mad notion first written behind the castle walls of Babylon. Do not be amazed or overwhelmed. It is a grand bloody theater.
“Who was Diotrephes.”
“No idea. Maybe he was a friend of Milkycheesedick.”
“What happened to Rufus.”
“He went to Greece to teach philosophy.”
“Really.”
“I have no idea. Some say he played the fiddle.”
The ruling class will not be happy with the return of anyone that takes on the role of Christ. It is a job open for anyone. And everyone. It is not the return of the almighty high priest and judge of the world. We all have the ability to judge. Not prejudge, but to understand up from down and forward from backward. Common sense is instinct. Life has already given us all we need for our own salvation. Do not wait for it. We must all awaken now.
