THE NEW NEW TESTAMENT

The Gospel According to LUKE

chapter 04

Before we get into C4. Let’s question the holy spirit.

First off, we’ll drop holy so we have a chance at perceiving it.

For spirit to be real it has to be grounded in physical reality. It could be supposed that the negation of religion includes the negation of spirit. Or something eternal. This supposition is better suspended until we fully understand physics. And that could take a few million years. Certainly many thousands.

What is it we can speculate on. We are creatures that have been evolving from life that has been evolving about 4 billion years on this planet. It wasn’t until the last half billion years that we got into more than one celled creatures. In the last few tens of million of years we were primates very like many primates. With a common ancestor.

But wait just a second before we dismiss the bacteria. They were our ancestors. Our God. And they still reign. We are just learning now how they communicate. That they communicate is a fairly surprising thing to understand.

“What about water and mineral. That too was our common ancestor.”

“Don’t interrupt.”

Bacteria most likely have absolutely no concept of self. What they know individually can’t be much more than very basic instinct.

“Where are you going with this.”

“Well, I don’t know really. What I want to suggest is that our belief in individual self may be somewhat exaggerated. Certainly the body dies and is eaten up into the system. But what is the body. After about 7 years it is not what it was. It’s practically a copy. Cells reproducing and dying. Bacteria living and dying in and on the body. There are no real hard definable borders. And something we give little credit to is the life of language. As long as the species survives, every member of that species is in some real way part of the language.”

“So.”

“So, the word spirit is a little fucky because it has religious connotations. But like primates that are relatively new to the planet, spirit may very well be a thing that is becoming. A result of consciousness. A part of the evolution that takes life from the beast to the angel.”

“Whatever. Let’s get this book written.”

Maybe for fear of madness we are reluctant to see what we are and what we are becoming. Evolution and reincarnation is dependant upon one another. When we see it we will start to know it.

It’s the sort of question better asked in a rain forest or jungle. And unfortunately, the priests of money are chopping them all down.

Because if there is any kind of spirit. Without life, it won’t be. It will be elements without self-knowledge.

Our grandchildren can better answer this question. Or maybe it takes another million years for the spirit to be a real thing.

In us.

“The story.”

Of course, let us get back to the Luke story. Who, I believe, believed less in Jesus than he did in governing of the masses.

Jesus, I believe, believed he saw the spirit in man, life. And we best not rule it out with our skepticism. Jesus was also an atheist and talked of being born again and the holy spirit. The word evolution hadn’t been invented yet. It was not an understood concept.

Jesus returned from the river full of the holy spirit. He did not go out into the real desert and not eat for 40 days. That is a bullshit taken from the Torah.

If he fought with anything, he fought with doubt. The most horrendous of all monsters. And what he doubted was: that his theater would really do anything for the holy spirit in man. It may have occurred to him that man only had one life and he should do whatever it was that was the most fun. Such as taking an army and raping and plundering for monetary riches.

But he had angels. And angels are real; I’ve seen them. Others have. They come and commune with your spirit. It is instinct from the animal world. It is the gods from the probability of inevitability.

“No it ain’t.”

“Is too.”

Now Luke has an interesting subordinate clause.

GNB vs 13: When the Devil finished tempting Jesus in every way, he left him for a while.” EQ.

Does that not suggest: The Devil = Doubt.

Jesus went into preach, sorry, teach in the Synagogues. And he wasn’t going just to teach. He was going to finally, after 30 years.

Tell the bastard, heaven stealing, holy spirit killing, priests of the bloody lies of Moses.

He told the priests that he was the one they had been waiting for. Or better said. Dreading.

Luke goes on about Elijah and 3.5 years without rain and only one old woman gets saved or healed or something.

And since he was in his hometown, people knew him as the son of a mother. How could he be a messiah. Well, you just gotta take on the job.

They dragged Jesus out of town and were going to throw him off the cliff but he walked through the crowd and went.

Whatever. Jesus went got a coffee and a bagel.

And people kept screaming at him.

“You are god’s holy messenger.”

And this could be easily staged. But I think it is simply over written.

He loves his family and they not only don’t believe him, they think he might be mad. As in over the hill off the cliff. In team with the devil.

But it could be interpreted that all the people and creatures and the rest of life were screaming at him his whole life.

No matter how much you love your family, if you can’t believe their moldy creed you have to drop the yoke and carry your cross. You have a much bigger family saying to you.

You. Hey. We are here.

chapter 05

Oh tedious contradiction over and over. The story is so impossible one most interpret. And one must see it as just another theater piece. And one must understand that it is like every other theater piece, trying to reveal, in a story, a situation in our lives.

So Luke adds the story about Simon, as in Peter, brother of Jesus, trying to catch fish. Jesus tells him to go to the other side of the boat and, bloody hell, he catches so many fish the boat is gonna sink with fish. Pete calls his other brothers in another other boat as well. To gather all the fish that are suddenly in a lake they weren’t in all day.

“Well, that’s obvious, isn’t it.”

“Always fish on the other side of the boat.”

“Exactly.”

So Jesus convinces his brothers that he needs their help. Now most people would imagine this was a spontaneous event. Some people even believe that humans can spontaneously combust because they heard a story about it. Well, the first three men that go with Jesus are really his brothers. They grew up with him. They had been talking about the event for most of 30 years.

“The fucking Romans”.

“The fucking Jews.”

Like the last two books, Jesus goes on a healing tour.

“Be well, my child. There is no hell. Have no fear and live your life now. Masturbate as often as you please but don’t wear yourself out. Don’t work too hard. Be nice to your neighbors and remember, oral sex is a lot of fun and doesn’t make babies before you want babies.”

“What about bum fucking, Jesus.”

“Bum fucking also doesn’t make babies. Don’t forget to spit up the bum hole.”

So Jesus went from town to town teaching the ways of oral sex and bum fucking.

“What. Where does it say about bum fucking.”

“You have to interpret. Be assured, it is in there.”

The way Luke writes, he would have us forget that Jesus lived in Galilee and was at his own home when the man who was paralyzed from drinking too much was lowered through the root of Jesus.

“And Mary Magdalene and their three children.”

And Jesus said.

“Your sins are forgiven.”

The vipers flipped. The priests that were in the home of Jesus. They didn’t want Jesus forgiving sins. He didn’t have a forgive sin license.

He did have the use of language. That can be a medicine. And something else to remember as they go on their campaign, they may have had some knowledge of medicine. It would be mostly, or only, what we call Herbal medicines. Natural oils. Like olive oil. The priests would despise these things as sorcery. Only the priests had the power to save people from ailments. Check out the Torah for details.

Vipers.

Jesus went to the house of his friend Levi, called Matthew, to have a party. The priests didn’t think Jesus should hang with low life. Having a party with tax collectors and loose women. Loose men. How very disgusting.

“What. You call my company low life. You who crawl on your bellies and spit out venomous lies made holy by the sword.”

“Flog you. Jesus. We raised you to do our will and if you don’t we’ll torture you for 2,000 years.”

“You will torture us all as long as you carry your titles. Hell slugs.”

Some people wanted Jesus to have less fun and fast more often than never. And Jesus said.

“Go ye forth and fucketh thy self.”

Than Luke says old wine is better than new, which can be true. Not always. And.

So what.

chapter 06

Life is God. Rock. Carbon. Is the foundation. The bones. It’s a real and big thing. It’s not an excuse for law or religion. Perhaps we have needed both. Perhaps is a very backwards way it has helped to catapult our consciousness into a higher state a wakefulness. Law and religion must evolve to fit our growing perception of a changing reality. We need to abandon obedience and worship. We must get to a point where we can abandon law and religion. Embrace common sense. It is our instinct.

So we have the corn picking confrontation again. Same as the last two books except Luke tells us it was another day when the man with the bad hand came to Jesus in the Synagogue on the holy day.

Jesus chooses his twelve disciples.

The Usual Suspects.

Detail distraction.

They go out teaching the gospel. Teaching people how to think. How to begin to think. Give up on childish beliefs. Donald Duck is not real. He is an imaginary character. As is Spider Man and Cat Woman. God.

Jesus and his crew went about healing others of their ailments. Many of which could be healed with the conviction that it is better to love life. Let go of the paranoid fear handed down by the authorities. Enjoy your life as much as you can.

Love your enemy, for hate is blinding.
Let go of ignorance, its chains are binding.
Life is for real, there is no eternal hell.
Learn to dance, see, touch, hear and smell.

Blessed are the fish that swim in water.
Honour you sons as well as your daughters.
Blessed are the birds that swim in the sky.
Do what you want in life before you die.

Blessed are the animals on the land.
Don’t wait for heaven; it’s in your hand.
Blessed are those who have no money.
For them the crash of the empire is funny.

Blessed is a wise woman, she isn’t a witch.
A blind man will lead a blind man into a ditch.
Blessed is a wise man that cleans his eye.
For he will know to ask how and not why.

By the way, a blind person who knows the way can lead a blind person. And even help that blind person to find their way in their perpetual darkness. The story actually refers to the blind priests leading the ignorant followers. And at the time of the story it was a common practice to pluck out people eyes if they where guilty of anything the authority perceived as insubordination.

No pupil is greater than his teacher. In as much that no one is greater than anyone else, that’s true enough. On the other hand, it should be the goal of the teacher that the student be wiser from the shared knowledge so that the student takes it a little farther, so that the next generation can take it a little farther. So that we, the species, can know. So that we can reach out and take from the tree of life and live forever.

Build your house on a rock. Or build floating cities on the oceans. Build cities on the moon. Build new worlds in the heavens.

And destroy the myths and beliefs of our ignorant ancestors.
